the Queensland Child Safe Standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recruiting and supporting suitable volunteers and teachers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensuring all relevant adults hold valid Blue Cards where required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing clear procedures for reporting concerns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Listening to children and respecting their rights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Continually reviewing and improving our child safety practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our Child Safety Documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Queensland Child Safe Standards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our school implements the Queensland Child Safe Standards, which help organisations create environments where children are safe and feel safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our teachers and volunteers who require a Blue Card comply with Queensland&#8217;s Working with Children Check requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reporting a Child Safety Concern<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child involved in our school, please contact us immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All concerns are treated seriously, confidentially and in accordance with our Child Safe Policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a child is in immediate danger, call 000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Parents and Families<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Parents and carers play an important role in creating a safe learning environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We encourage families to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Read our Child Safe Policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speak with teachers or committee members if they have concerns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage children to speak up if something makes them uncomfortable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work together with us to promote respectful behaviour.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Children&#8217;s Rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every child attending our school has the right to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Feel safe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be listened to.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be treated fairly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn in a respectful environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be protected from abuse, bullying and discrimination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask for help from trusted adults.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continuous Improvement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Child safety is an ongoing commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
