Our History

Brisbane Polish School was established in the 1950s by Father Kasjan Wolak and over the years it was managed by the many volunteers who committed their time to its continuation. Today, it still remains the only Polish school in Queensland offering Polish language, history, geography and literature lessons to children and adults.

Our Learning Environment

Brisbane Polish School is a culturally diverse community. Many of our students, both young and mature, live as members of two (or more) cultures, some of these are growing up in multilingual households. To bridge the cultural gaps our school incorporates key cultural aspect to its teaching methods to enhance students’ linguistic comprehension.

We welcome all students from the age of 3 to 100+ who wish to learn the Polish language and who wish to understand aspects of Polish culture.

Our Sponsors

Brisbane Polish School would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support, for contributing towards operational costs and for financing special events.

Our Partners

Brisbane Polish School extends our gratitude to the individuals, businesses and organisations who have contributed their time, products and services in support of the school’s educational and fundraising activities.

We plan to continue these partnerships long into the future as part of a thriving, growing and diverse community in Brisbane.
